Springboks scrap Dubai Test

South Africa's proposed Test against Ireland in Dubai later this year has been cancelled.

The two sides had been in talks with regards to hosting a one-off Test match in Dubai, but on Tuesday the decision came stating the game would not happen.

Springbok manager Andy Marinos confirmed on that a decision to scrap the match had been agreed a few weeks ago by both countries.

Both unions were in agreement that the facilities in Dubai would not be up to Test standard in time for the game.

The rest of South Africa's end of season tour will go ahead as planned, with Tests against Wales (Millennium Stadium, November 8), Scotland (Murrayfield, November 15) and England (Twickenham, November 22).
