Connacht kicked off their European Challenge Cup campaign with a convincing 30-12 win over Dax in the south of France.
Connacht were trailing 12-7 at half-time, but a powerful second-half display helped them to victory at Stade Maurice Boyau, and tries from John Muldoon, Ray Ofisa and Johnny O'Connor almost landed Connacht with a bonus point.
The superb kicking of fly-half Ian Keatley was again a key factor as Michael Bradley's men notched up another magnificent win in France.
Bayonne were stunned 21-10 at home by Italian side Viadana in Friday's other game.
