Kelleher wants to end career in Toulouse

Loving life in the La Ville Rose: Byron Kelleher

Former All Blacks scrum-half Byron Kelleher has indicated that he wants to end his playing career at Toulouse.

Speaking on the sidelines of the first charity dinner for his Foundation, BK9, Kelleher explained how much he was enjoying life in the French town and had no intention of leaving in the foreseeable future.

"I hope that BK9 will be able to develop elsewhere in addition to France, but it's no coincidence that I started here because I feel I owe a debt to the French people, " he told French daily Dépêche du Midi.

"Toulouse has really adopted me. I've got the impression that I belong to this town. I adore the culture and my French is getting better everyday. If Stade Toulousain want to keep me, I'd like to finish my career here," said the 31-year-old.

"Since the age of five I've dreamt of becoming a professional rugby player and playing for the All Blacks. today, at 31, I've achieved those goals.

Kelleher's foundation will give ten young sportsmen and women, aged between 8 and 15, bursaries to help then become professionals in the sport of choice (other than football or rugby).
