Hernāndez sticks with Stade

Another year in pink: Juan Martin Hernāndez

Argentina and Stade Franįais fly-half Juan Martin Hernāndez has decided to stay with the Parisian club until June 2009.

It has been widely speculated for many months now that Hernāndez, the defending French champions' star player this year, was set to join English Premiership club Leicester.

The motivation behind the move was said to be his eagerness to continue his collaboration with former Argentina coach Marcello Loffreda.

However, with Loffreda having been sacked last week, the attraction of crossing the Channel was obviously diminished.

"I'm staying here until June 2009, that way wont be any problems , no controversy," Hernāndez told L'Equipe.

"I'm 25 years old, I'm young and I've still got time to go elsewhere."
