Toulon have promoted former Youth Team Coach Aubin Heuber to Forwards Coach in an attempt to reverse their fortunes after a slow start to the season.

Hueber has been appointed to the role following Monday's departure of Jean-Jacques Crenca.

Crenca, a former French international, has paid the price for a losing run that sees the club located in the bottom half of the Top 14 table.

Saturday's 21-17 home defeat to Castres Olympique was the fifth successive defeat for Toulon in all competitions.

Toulon have only won twice at Mayol this season and were hammered 56-3 by Northampton in the opening round of the European Challenge Cup, despite high pre-season expectations following the signatures of All Blacks star Jerry Collins and rugby league convert Sonny Bill Williams.
